Common sites of bleeding:
General bleeding (limbs, etc.), ear, vomiting, cut palm, teeth, nose.
 
General measures:
   
Bullet Let the patient sit or lie & if possible raise the bleeding part.
Bullet Apply pressure on that part.
Bullet Clean the part
Bullet Keep a cotton piece on that part and apply a bandage over it
Bullet WARNING: THE BLEEDING SHOULD NOT BE KEPT OPEN. IF BANDAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE COVER IT ANY HOUSEHOLD ARTICLES SUCH AS HANDKERCHIEF, NECKTIE, ETC.
Bullet Bleeding due to cut in artery: apply tourniquet above cut on the side of the heart on the pressure point. make sure to loosen it intermittently.
Bullet Bleeding due to cut in vein: tourniquet should be applied below the cut but on the opposite side of the heart.
 
Special measures for specific bleeding:
   
Bullet NOSE BLEEDING: Sprinkle cold water on his head ask him to breath through mouth.
Bullet Don't allow him to cough, sniff, laugh or blow his nose.
Bullet VOMITING BLOOD: If red coloured vomitus is there then it is a medical emergency, so call for an ambulance and doctor immediately
